joe's 30th birthday bash

So, Joe turns 30 on February 19 and I am planning a birthday party for him. It is going to be a "beer tasting" themed party inspired by Courtney's beer party for her boyfriend (you can view it on her entertaining blog, Pizzazzerie).

So far, I have investigated and ordered invitations. Our top options were:

Option # 1 was quickly deemed "too girly." I really liked the quirkiness of option #3, but Joe liked #2...and it is HIS birthday :)

So, for the party details, we will have 8-10 different beers to taste. Personalized beer mugs, cupcakes, maybe a beer themed cake, brats and a potato bar. I want to get some vintage beer posters for decorations and old beer bottle tops for decor as well. More to come as the planning evolves!
